The most exclusive event of its kind.
The allocators who attend our events are from all of the top endowments, foundations, and family offices and are all aligned around our belief in sourcing undiscovered investment talent.

You will meet a highly curated group of allocators, all of whom are intensely interested in undiscovered managers, many of whom do not normally attend cap-intro events.
You can expect to have at least eight formal one-on-one meetings across the day, all of which are prescheduled based on mutual interest.
There will also be plenty of time during the day for informal networking among your peers and other allocators.
Reasons to Attend
Meet family offices, endowments, and other allocators that are notoriously hard to access elsewhere. We vet every allocator for quality and intent.
No cold pitching. Meetings are pre-arranged on mutual interest. Every conversation is high-signal and time-respecting.
We keep the event intentionally straightforward: No celebrity speakers, concerts, or free hotel rooms. Allocators attend because they are genuinely interested in discovering the managers in the room.
The Manager Experience
From registration through post-event follow-up, the Roundtable is designed to make the process as focused, efficient, and seamless as possible for managers.
Registration
Pre-Event
Registered allocators receive access to both resources, review the participating managers, and submit their meeting requests. We then use those requests to build the meeting schedule.
The entire process is designed to require very little from managers. Your time and attention can remain focused on investing while we handle the scheduling and logistics.

What makes the Santangel's Roundtable different.
The typical cap intro conference vs Santangel's Roundtable, drawn directly from conversations with managers who have attended our events.

Most managers who attend our events come to us by referrals from allocators or other managers, but we are also happy to have managers reach out to us directly. Either way, a member of our team will be in touch to tell you more and answer your questions.
We usually set up a short call to understand your strategy, your edge, and what kind of allocators you are seeking to meet.
Managers who have attended the Roundtable
Consistently strong feedback from attendees, many of whom return for future events.
"Santangel’s Roundtable is a truly unique event facilitating high impact conversations between world class allocators and emerging managers such as ourselves. My partner and I are based in Hong Kong and typically build our travel schedule to the United States around their Fall Roundtable in New York – having attended for three years, we can safely say that it has been well worth the journey each time. Our praise for the event is four-fold: 1) Steve and Ted do a great job curating a day full of bite-sized meetings that are meaningful for both sides to ensure mutual interest, deeper engagement and efficient time management; 2) as opposed to other industry conferences which have ballooned in size over the years, this event has remained small and intimate, reducing crowd “noise” and sharpening focus; 3) selected participants generally share a similar long-term, research-driven investment philosophy, creating a common foundational starting point; and 4) Steve and Ted are honest people with high integrity that are genuinely interested in the long-term success of their allocator and manager participants – you couldn’t partner with a higher quality group. We look forward to the opportunity to join them again in the near future."
"This past spring I attended my second Santangel’s Roundtable in New York; and found it to be an exceptional return on time. I manage a boutique hedge fund that is appealing to a small slice of the institutional world. What I like about Santangel’s is it’s a ‘double-opt-in” approach. I only meet with allocators who have reviewed my materials and decided to use one of their limited time slots on meeting with me. This eliminates all those low-value-add virtual meetings where you realize 20 minutes into the call that it is clearly not a great fit for either side. The reality is we are in a long sales cycle business. I have found that Santangel’s Roundtable is an excellent way to plant seeds with relevant allocators. Moreover, it is the only way I have found to meet in-person with a dozen or so relevant prospects on the same day. In this digital-first, virtual meeting era…there is no substitute for getting in the room with investors and establishing that personal contact."
"We manage a quality-focused, concentrated equity strategy built around a strict 'Quality and Price' framework—operating as business owners and looking past short-term market narratives to focus on long-term compounding. Finding capital partners who truly share this patient mindset isn’t easy; much like our investment underwriting, it requires a disciplined process, the ability to sift through a lot of traditional marketing noise, and time. The Santangel's Roundtables are one of the most efficient forums we have found to bridge that gap. What makes Santangel's unique is the ability to meet a highly curated group of allocators from across the globe in a single location—connecting us with sophisticated family offices and institutions we otherwise may never have encountered. Walking into those rooms knowing that these allocators proactively chose to meet with us changes the dynamic completely. We have intentionally built our firm one relationship at a time, prioritizing quality over quantity. Santangel's is the only event of its kind to which we consistently return because it serves as an important starting point for deep, aligned partnerships built to flourish over decades, not quarters."
"I manage a concentrated long-only strategy focused on a niche subset of the market. In my experience with capital raising, I would put cap intro brokers, conference organizers, etc. into two buckets: Santangel's Roundtable and then everyone else. In my opinion, attending a Santangel's event is the most productive way to present a differentiated investment strategy to an elite audience of allocators who want to be there and can build a meaningful relationship; a day of meetings where the LPs on the other side of the table truly care about philosophy, process and ideas. And from the "putting on an event" perspective, everything is first class."
"We have attended several Santangel’s Roundtables over the years, and have consistently been impressed by the professionalism of the events and the caliber of the allocators in attendance. Steve and Ted have done a wonderful job creating an environment that lends itself to high-quality introductions that make Santangel’s worthwhile for both managers and allocators."
“Steven and Ted lead one of the best conferences for emerging managers. Their selection process ensures strategic fit and alignment between potential partners and your strategy. The quality of the partners reflects the trust that Santangel’s has built within the allocator community. Santangel’s is a must attend event for any emerging manager and is a great long-term investment for investors."
“We have participated in the Santangel's Roundtable for several years, and they have become an important component of our marketing and investor outreach efforts. The quality of the allocators is among the best we have encountered, and, equally important, Steve and Ted dedicate significant time to curating the attendee list to ensure that managers are meeting with relevant, active allocators whose mandates align with their strategies. As a result, the meetings are highly productive and consistently lead to meaningful relationships. Most recently, we received allocations from both new and existing investors following meetings at their Boston and New York events. Based on our experience, Santangel's conferences provide a differentiated and highly effective forum for connecting with serious family office and institutional investors.”
“Having attended Santangel’s Roundtable over the past three years (2024–2026), we’ve found it to be consistently more targeted than most events we attend, both in terms of the allocator mix, engagement of the principles in attendance, and how the meetings are structured. We’ve spent time with a number of high-quality institutions and family offices that are directly relevant to our strategy, including a few we had interacted with previously but hadn’t been able to meaningfully advance in a broader conference setting. There’s also a noticeable mindset among LPs that the managers in the room are worth engaging with, which creates a more constructive starting point for conversations than you often find at larger, less selective events. The format makes it easier to have more focused, substantive discussions, and we’ve come away with some early-stage conversations we’re continuing to develop as well as a better sense of where there is potential alignment. We also find it to be a useful way to gauge LP temperature more broadly and refine how we’re positioning the strategy based on real-time feedback. Overall, it’s been a very efficient use of time and a more thoughtful alternative to larger, less curated conferences.”
“I manage a boutique strategy that I know is not suitable for most institutional allocators. It is a long-term, concentrated portfolio that naturally generates more volatility than most allocators can tolerate. Many traditional marketing channels are aimed at matching traditional allocators with mainstream investment products and their managers, resulting in significant wasted time and marketing budget for boutiques like Recurve Capital. Santangel’s Roundtables are the best matchmaking event for firms with a boutique strategy like ours. Other conferences I have attended have not been worth it. I have attended two Santangel’s Roundtables – one in New York and one at Fenway Park. It is the only conference I have attended more than once. Both Roundtables were consistently excellent. The roster of allocators is exactly what I would have hoped for: those looking for unique and boutique strategies, those that are okay with smaller firms, and those that have longer duration and take time to understand the investment process – not just an examination of past results. To date, I have not found a more efficient way to meet with Recurve’s target addressable market than the Roundtables.”
"I first heard of Santangel’s Roundtable when I was doing reference calls for a different conference. I was told that Santangel’s was a much better fit for me than any other conference. After attending two Roundtables, I agree with this assessment for a few reasons. First, this is an excellent opportunity for emerging managers to present their story to a group of high quality allocators, with both well known institutions and sophisticated family offices. The eight meeting slots during the day are curated well, matching LPs with compatible fund strategies. I’ve never felt like I’ve had a meeting with someone who did not understand how I invest. The conversations go much deeper than statistics, performance, and resumes, with challenging questions that force me to examine my philosophy from first principles. This is exactly what I’d ask, if I were on the other side of the table. This speaks to the quality of the program, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Steve and Ted do a great job managing the event, and it will be an annual highlight for many years to come."
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The event is invitation-only, and all attendees are carefully vetted.
Most manager attendees run fundamental, public-equity focused long/short or long-only strategies. We also include a select number of differentiated strategies that are unique and aligned with allocator interest.
The allocator mix is typically about 50% family offices, 30% endowments and foundations, and 20% fund of funds, consultants, OCIOs, RIAs, and high-net-worth investors.
Managers’ materials are uploaded to a secure data room, where registered allocators review them and submit meeting requests. We then hand-build the schedules based on those requests, with the goal of maximizing the value and fit of each meeting.
There are eight 30-minute meetings. Each meeting is typically one-on-one, but if a manager receives more than eight meeting requests, we may create a schedule that includes both one-on-one meetings and meetings with multiple allocators.
After the event, managers receive the email addresses of the allocators they met with, unless an allocator has opted out of sharing their contact information. We do not share a full allocator attendee list externally.
