Francis Daniels

Mr. Francis Daniels co-founded Africa Financing Review in 1994. In 1998 Mr. Daniels became a legal consultant to the New Africa Opportunity Fund LP in South Africa. In 1998 he was also appointed president of The Africa Phoenix Group Inc., a U.S.-based company which provides advice to institutional investors on sub-Saharan African debt and equity. He was admitted to the bar in the state of New York in 1987 and from then until 1993 he practised commercial law on a full-time basis in New York City. Mr. Daniels has been Director of TA Holdings Limited, listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, since 2000. He has been Non Executive Director of Ocean Resources Capital Holdings plc since October 31, 2005. He serves as a Director of Zimnat Asset Management Company (Private) Limited and Masawara PLC. He has been Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Africa Opportunity Fund Ltd since June 2007. He serves as Non Executive Director of UraMin Inc. and Zimnat Lion Insurance Co. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1987. Mr. Daniels holds an LLB degree from the University of Ghana and two LLM degrees from the University of Toronto in Canada and New York University in the United States.
